The bell tower of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer has stood in Jerusalem’s Old City since 1898, built under Kaiser Wilhelm II as a gift from Germany. Designed in a Romanesque style, its 40-meter tower rises above the Christian Quarter, its bells echoing through the narrow streets for more than a century.
